Our tequila has complex notes of earth and smoke that are complemented by the lime and grapefruit juice in this cocktail. For our spice rim, we use ancho chilies that ripen naturally in the sun for a sweeter bite and balanced, mild heat. Paired with passionfruit, the spice really elevates the Paloma.
PASSION PALOMA
2 parts
El Tesoro™ Blanco or Reposado tequila
½ part
fresh lime juice
½ part
passionfruit puree
A pinch of salt
Grapefruit soda
For the spice rim
Pinch of ground sea salt
Pinch of dried, crushed ancho chilies
Pinch of crushed demerara sugar
Glass
Highball

Grapefruit
Mix salt, ancho chili and sugar to create a spice mix. Use a lime wedge to lightly moisten half of your glass rim. Gently roll one side of your glass in the mixture.

Now fill the highball glass with ice, add fresh lime juice, a pinch of salt, El Tesoro™ Blanco or Reposado tequila and passionfruit puree. Stir until chilled. Top with grapefruit soda and garnish with a grapefruit peel.
